Intentional Discipleship
In one of Jesus' final commands to His disciples, He said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matt. 28:18-20)
The central command He gave in this statement was to make disciples. The Apostle Paul gave his protege Timothy the same command in a different form saying, "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others." (2 Tim. 2:2)
The Church exists today to continue this same mission of making disciples who make disciples, and we are intentional about this in all we do. Our primary methods of doing this with adults are through our weekly D-groups.
Adult Discipleship Groups
We know that FCC is large enough that it can be difficult to build relationships on a Sunday morning. You need a place where you can ask questions, listen to ideas, and explore more of what you hear in our Sunday morning worship service. That’s why we have D-groups! BIG THINGS HAPPEN in small groups! Our desire is that everyone at FCC will find a D-group they can learn and grow in.
